This little American Red Squirrel (Tamiasciurus hudsonicus) had set up shop by the bird feeding area at Fenner Nature Center the other day. He seemed to be pretty happy with all the seeds he could collect. He also would lick the branches of a nearby tree. I read that they do this to get sap out of the tree.
