De Ingressu In Conclave

St. Peter's Square from the top of the dome of St. Peter's Basilica
After watching the start of the Papal Conclave today and seeing a number of places we visited on our trip to Italy in 2011, I delved into my photo archive and decided to post a few of my favorite from Vatican City and Rome.  While the naming of a new Pope will have limited impact on my life, as far as I can tell, the centuries old process for selecting the new head of the Roman Catholic Church fascinates me greatly.
