Just south of the Au Sable Point Lighthouse on the north end of the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore you can find a section of shoreline with numerous remains of the hulls of old wooden ships that ran aground in the shallow areas near shore. Most of the wreckage has been lost to weather and time, but a few pieces remain.
