I ventured out to Vermillion Point for my first ever visit there on a very rainy morning during my week up north. It started out clear and sunny when I left the cabin, but by the time I arrived in Paradise, the clouds rolled in and a light, misty drizzle started and never really stopped. The rain held off a bit while I was walking the beach at Vermillion Point, but its eventual arrival hastened my departure.
Vermillion Point is halfway between Crisp Point and Whitefish Point on the Lake Superior shoreline. It is very remote and when I was there, no one else was anywhere to be found. Doug and I went back later in the week on a much nicer day. I shall post photographs from that trip later.
