Mighty Mac

No matter how many times I cross the Mackinac Bridge (which has been a lot more the past few years) or see it from the shore, I am amazed by this amazing engineering marvel.  Here are a few photos of the Bridge from my recent trip up north.  At the bottom of the post is a quick time lapse of the Bridge as dusk gives way to night.  I shot the time lapse from two locations on different evenings.

An 80-Degree Difference

The two photographs in this composition of the Mackinac Bridge were taken from the St. Ignace side of the Straits of Mackinac about seven months apart.  The summer photograph was taken when it was around 80 degrees Farenheit and the winter picture was taken when it was just a few degrees above zero.
