Leapin' Leopard Frogs

The other day at Rose Lake, the leopard frogs were all over the place.  As you walked down the trail they would leap great distances to get out of the way.

Springtime Frogs

The other night at Rose Lake State Wildlife Refuge, I happened upon a pond with thousands of frogs chirping away.  The sound was almost overpowering and I have never heard the frogs so loud.  Click the link below to hear some of the audio I recorded of the melee that evening.

Sneaky Tree Frog

This little grey tree frog blended in very well with the tree bark on which it hung.  I almost missed seeing it, but thankfully something else nearby caught my eye and I realized it was there.

Tree Frog

When taping some video for the HSGL cemetery walk on Sunday, I realized I had several photos of a tree frog I photographed on my mother's deck railing about a month ago still on the memory card.  I am not a big reptile admirer, but these little guys are quite unique.  Even its eyes has a certain level of camouflage to them.
